LIFEBOOK FOR 2010

This was e-mailed to me and I would like to share...

LIFEBOOK  FOR 2010

Health:

1.  Drink plenty of water

2. Eat breakfast like a  king, lunch like a prince and dinner like a  beggar

3. Eat more foods that grow on trees and  plants, and eat less food that is manufactured in plants

4. Live with the 3 E's:  Energy,  Enthusiasm, and Empathy

5. Make time for prayer

6. Play more games

7. Read more books  than you did in 2009

8. Sit in silence  for at least 10 minutes each day

9. Sleep for 7 hours

10. Take a 10-30 minute walk every  day - and while you walk,  smile

Personality:

11.  Don't compare your life to others'.  You have no idea what their journey is all about.

12. Don't have negative thoughts or things you cannot control.  Instead, invest your energy in the positive present moment

13. Don't overdo; keep your limits

14. Don't take yourself so seriously; no one else does

15. Don't waste your precious energy on gossip

16. Dream more while you are awake

17. Envy is a waste of time.  You already have all you need.

18. Forget issues of the past.  Don't remind your partner with his/her mistakes of the  past. That will ruin your present happiness.

19. Life is too short to waste time hating anyone. Don't hate others.

20. Make peace with your past so it won't spoil the present

21. No one is in charge of your happiness except you

22. Realize that life is a school and you are here to learn. Problems are simply part of the curriculum that appear and fade away like algebra class, but the lessons you learn will last a lifetime.

23. Smile and laugh more

24. You don't have to win every argument.  Agree to disagree.

Community:

25.  Call your family often

26. Each day give something good to others

27. Forgive everyone for everything

28. Spend time with people over the age of 70 & under the age of 6

29. Try to make at least three people smile each day

30. What other people think of you is none of your business

31. Your job won't take care of you when you are sick. Your family and friends will. Stay in touch.

Life:

32.  Do the right things

33. Get rid of anything that isn't useful, beautiful or joyful

34. Your Innermost is always happy. So, be happy.

35. However good or bad a situation is, it will change

36. No matter how you feel, get up, dress up and show up

37. The best is yet to come

38. When you awake alive in the morning, thank GOD for it

39. GOD heals everything

Last but not least:

40. Share this with everyone you care  about.

Happy New Year!

[]

Try everything twice. On ONE WOMAN'S tombstone
she said she wanted this epitaph: Tried everything
twice...loved it both times!
Keep only cheerful friends.  The grouches pull you down.
(keep  this in mind if you are one of those grouches;)

[]
Keep learning:
Learn more about the computer, crafts,
gardening, whatever. Never let the brain
get idle. "An idle mind is the devil's workshop."
And the devil's name is Alzheimer's!
Enjoy the simple things.

[]
Laugh often, long and loud. Laugh until you gasp
for breath. And if you have a friend who makes you
laugh, spend lots and lots of time with HIM/HER.

[]
The tears happen: Endure, grieve, and move
on. The only person who is with us our entire
life, is ourselves.  LIVE while you are alive.
Surround yourself with what you love: Whether
it's family, pets, keepsakes, music, plants,
hobbies, whatever. Your home is your refuge.

[]
Cherish your health:
If it is good, preserve it. If it is unstable,
improve it. If it is beyond what you can
improve, get help.
Don't take guilt trips. Take a trip to the
mall, even to the next county,  to a foreign
country, but NOT to where the guilt is.

[]
Tell the people you love that you love
 them, at every opportunity.

[]
Forgive now those who made you cry. You might
 not get a second time.

2010 - NEW YEAR'S AFFIRMATIONS

I had decided to post New Year's Resolutions to make myself accountable for them since when I make them I normally don't follow them all year and I don't make them every year.  Well, I had talked about this with my friend, Susi, and she said it would be better to put out Affirmations to the Universe.  And by God, (yes I said God on purpose and not in vain) she has a point.  If you have ever watched the DVD or read the Book "The Secret" or even read a book on Feng Shui, you would have to agree that this is the better thing to do.  So here are my 2010 Affirmations:

1.)  I will be Happy!
2.) I will be Healthy!
a.) I will exercise (I will take a Yoga class)
b.) I will eat healthier foods
c.) I will drink less carbonated drinks
d.) I will be more aware of things that make me healthier
3.) I will spend more time with Brandy taking her for walks at the Park!
4.) I will be orgnized.
5.) I will be successful with my Etsy shop.
a.) I will join the Etsy Full-Time Crafters Team!
6.) I will be successful with my handmade items that I make to sale.
a.) Things on consignment at Another Time Another Place
b.) Craft shows and other places I may go to sell my products
7.) I will exercise my creativity.
a.) I will learn more items to knit.
8.) My car will run perfectly!
9.) I will take more time to read.
10.) I will watch less tv - I'm actually already doing this right now!
11.) I will be a better friend to my true friends.
12.) I will get rid of the friends that aren't so true.
13.) I will meet lots of firemen! (This one if for my friend Susi!  She thinks I should make cookies and take them down to the local fire station and meet a fireman.)
14.) I will meet the "ONE"!
15.) I will get my house back to myself.
16.) I will be Wealthy!

Buena Suerte to everyone that does New Year's Resolutions and New Year's Affirmations!

Whew....Long Day

Just finished cleaning for the day.  Going through Books and magazines mostly and getting those put away.  I swear, if I didn't know any better I would easily say I had more books than the local book store.  I'm not really joking!  :-)

I want to eventually get my entire house cleaned and organized.  Being a crafter that is extremely hard for me.  Not to mention, my quaint little house used to be big enough just for me.  Now that I have two other people living with me, the house is packed to the gills with absolutely no room to grow.  I have nowhere to put anything.  I'm bringing in more than I'm sending out.  Which, I need to do something about that soon!

I may be getting rid of some craft supplies soon.  I want to do it now to give me something to do over the winter so I'm not completely sitting on my butt everyday.  That way when the weather gets nicer around Spring, I can go out and do more.  And I'll have a nice clean and organized home to come home to!

Anyone needing any craft supplies?  Give me a shout out.  I may have something that you want or need!

Up and playing on-line

Have you ever just had one of those nights where you couldn't find anything to do.  Believe me, I have lots to do but I can't find anything that I want to do.  I've been playing on-line most of the night.  I've been updating my Goodreads site and I've been trying to catch up on Facebook.  Facebook kicked me out.  I also got kicked off of Goodreads but was able to get back in.  Maybe tonight is the night that they do site maintenance, who knows.  Anyway, I have 713 books on Goodreads.  Do you think that I am going to read them all?  How long do you think it will take me to read them?  I keep adding new books.  I think I'm half crazy, okay..........all the way crazy................I do listen to a lot of books on CD at work.  Actually that's how I'm able to "read" 5 and 6 books a month.  Some books I listen to twice.  I just wanted to share that fact for anyone that is out there reading my blog.  Have a wonderful night!  I think I'm going to bed.

NOT MUCH GOING ON

I thought I would log in and do a post. My life has been crazy to say the least but not really anything exciting if you can believe that. In the past couple of months I started hanging out with my friend Debbie again. I hadn't seen her in years. I think we emailed and even talked on the phone a couple of times in those years but hadn't seen each other or gotten together. So it's been nice seeing her and talking to her.

I've also been hanging out with my friends Kristie, Stacey and Cath when I am able to.

I'm not sure how long it has been, but I had hurt my shoulder/back and it's been bothering me for a long time. I finally went to the doctor, basically because I just couldn't take it anymore. For the past couple of weeks I've been trying to get it healed. I had two doctors tell me they think its bursitis but they are not completely sure because my symptoms don't fit. I forgot to tell them that I'm not completely normal! I think I'm an alien and my Mom forgot to tell me!

I went through a health scare with my Mom. She is most recently diagnosed with Diabetes. She was hospitalized because she had gotten sick but didn't know what was wrong. What she thought it was, she was trying to treat herself for it. Instead it was much more serious and she had to stay in the hospital until her blood sugar was brought back down to normal levels.

Now my Dad is going through health problems. Actually, the ironic part is that he is healthy, but from bad decisions he made when he was younger and carried on through his life up until a year ago...............SMOKING.................he's dealing with clogged arteries and cholesterol. My Dad is now looking at heart surgery, which I'm very much not looking forward to. In my heart of hearts I believe he will be okay but its just the prospect of such a serious surgery.

I also haven't really knitted in months because of the whole shoulder thing. I do a little here and there and it is so frustrating because I want to do more. It's my release from all the stress going on and I can't do that! GRRR.

I'm looking into other craft avenues. I want to get back into quilting and I wan't to do some sewing, making bags................I've been wanting to make bags for a long time, just haven't been organized enough to get my things together. But Now I'm on a mission.....So watch out!

Grandma's Coming

Okay, I am going to pick up my Grandma tomorrow for her to come to Columbus and visit with me and my family. You would think that this would spark a fire in me to clean, possible de-clutterize, etc....

I don't know if it is pure procrastination or if it is just the I don't want tos, but I don't feel like cleaning. Really I don't feel like doing much of anything right now. I want to knit, but I don't want to. I want to read, but I don't want to. I need to clean, but I don't feel like it.

What can I say.

I guess I better get a move on it and do something. The time is only getting later and I'm only getting sleepier.......zzzzzzzzzz

WOW 2 DAYS IN A ROW!

I am really getting psyched about working with my craft/art projects and getting them out there to the public. Maybe it's the sunshine maybe it's just a new attitude. I don't know but I just love it! I feel like I have so much more potential and I want to explore it. It's nice having crafty friends and also having people I can talk to that are also trying to get a business going or keep a business going with their arts and crafts.

Right now I am working on getting into 4 different craft shows. The first starting in October and the last in December. I am also working on putting some of our stuff in a Consignment Shop that is due to open soon. I don't want to post too much about it until we actually get some stuff in there. I'm a little superstitious. I don't want to jinx myself!

Crazy Craft N Ladies still have some items listed on-line in Etsy. We opened our second shop Lanie Bug Jewelry at the beginning of the year. A lot of time, effort and prayer have gone into this and I hope it progresses amazingly in the direction for the better.

Very Tired

I finally get on my blog and I'm so tired I should be afraid to write. I'm half dyslexic and half crazy. You tell me what that equals! LOL

I'm going to post updates soon. I'm working on a few scarves, 3 to be exact, I have taken a class to learn the pattern. I'm working on 3 other scarves to sell and I'm working on a bag - knitted, felted bag. So to say the least, I've been a busy girl!

I should be cleaning my house. Grandma is coming in less than 7 days. Once she gets here I'll be knitting, crocheting and jewelry making even more.

Well gotta go. I promise updates with some pictures will be coming soon!

Washer and Dryer

I am getting my new washer and dryer tomorrow. I'm very excited to have my laundry facilities back on site. I don't know how long I have been going to the laundry mat, but it has been way long enough. It will be awesome to have the ability to just throw something in the washer that I need to wear for the next day, or even that night if I have plans to go out.

Even though all that is great! ....Now you are going to think I'm weird...... I am excited because of all the household chores that need to be done, doing laundry is my favorite........Or at least it is now, again, because I don't have to go out to do it!

Life On Mars

I don't know how many people watched this show but I thought the show was absolutely brilliant. You can imagine my surprise when it was announced about a month ago that ABC was cancelling it. I love Jason OMara as an actor. Besides that he is just a cutey! Of all the shows about time travel, I believe that this one was put together very well. Of course, us being a people that thinks that others that have seen aliens or claimed to have been adbucted or even have just seen a UFO, are crazy.....This show is kind of believable. Who says that stuff like that can't happen, or even hasn't happened. Now, don't call ME crazy, I live in 2009 and I know that I do. I don't believe that I am from another time period living as myself right now. But I think that whoever thought up the background for that show has a great imagination.

I will truly miss Life On Mars!

What type of Guy do I like?

Today at lunch a friend asked me what type of guy do I like. I really couldn't say because I don't have one in mind. Like I told him, every guy I have ever went out with has been so different. If he had met any of them, he probably could not put one thing together that would link any of them. His question made me ask myself, "What type of guy do I like?" So here goes:

Nice, Sweet, Funny (not all the time, I don't like goofballs), Fun, Cute, Handsome, Tall, Interesting, Artistic (even if he doesn't do art or isn't an artist, he can appreciate art), Smart, Musical (same blurb as artistic), Understand, Patient, Outgoing, will put up with my family (LOL), Works, has some mechanical abilities,

I don't know.......I'm sure there are things I left off and some I could tweak, but I think I would know Mr. Right when I meet him because not everyone is perfect. Well, maybe one or two of us are!

Funny Google Ads

Apparently typing AA into the Title of one of your blogs brings up Google Ads for Acoholics Anonymous and Recovery treatments. LOL Sorry, it is not funny to people that this really affects, but maybe I do need an AA meeting for my addiction to yarn!

Christmas Gift

I received a new IPod for Christmas. Let me just say it's the new love of my life! I love music so much and to be able to listen to it on this tiny little gadget. Who would have thunk! There is not enough time in a day to download all the music I want so I guess I will have many days of playing with my IPod down the road. Halleluha for computer nerds who keep coming up with these nice things to play with!

New Year's Resolutions

I've been thinking about this for awhile. I don't want this to just be something I write down but also something I implement into my daily life. I want to make changes and I want them to "stick"!

So here are my Resolutions for 2009:

1.) Eat Healthier
2.) Eat Less - I tend to eat more in the winter months - which I think is normal for most people, but I want to be more aware of my eating habits and cut down.
3.) Save money!!!!!! - cut down on junk food (which also helps in eating healthier), stay out of craft stores and Walmart. Yes, I tend to spend a lot of money at Walmart even if I just go in to pick up 1 thing real quick. Be more aware of the money I do have.
4.) Get all my bills paid off, except for major debt, such as my house....That's obvious unless I win the lottery or something.
5.) Win the lottery! (sorry, I just couldn't resist!)
6.) Read more. I love to read but never make time for it. I have a million books......okay, so I exaggerated..........But I do have ALOT!
7.) Learn new stitches and techniques with knitting. Make things for myself or for people as gifts.
8.) Get more involved with charity. I want to start making things to give to organizations and hospitals that collect for people that don't have much. Also, donate my time when I can.
9.) Spend more time with friends that I normally don't get to see often. Make time for the people that are important to me.
10.) Win the HGTV Dream Home! (come on.......you should always dream BIG!)
